Conquer the 6000m Peak
Max Altitude
6,153 m
Distance
36 km
Best Time
July - September
Stok Kangri at 6,153 meters is one of the highest non-technical peaks in the world, making it an ideal first 6000m climb for aspiring mountaineers. The summit offers breathtaking 360-degree views of the Karakoram and Himalayan ranges.
While classified as non-technical, the climb is physically demanding and requires excellent fitness, proper acclimatization, and determination. The final summit push involves walking on glaciers and navigating steep snow slopes.
The trek begins from Stok Village, the seat of the former Ladakhi royal family. As you ascend, you'll pass through high-altitude meadows, cross glacial streams, and camp at increasingly higher altitudes before the pre-dawn summit attempt.
